Where have I been? Well, we are expecting Baby Oliver #2, and I have been battling my PgAL (pregnant after a loss) fears and then getting HG under control. I am 7 weeks pregnant today and exactly 2 weeks ago I started getting sick. It got worse and worse until I blacked out in my hallway and had to ask my husband to leave work to take me to the ER. I hadn't been able to eat or drink in 3 days and was severely dehydrated. They gave me 2 liters of fluid, potassium, and a bunch of anti-nausea drugs.
Things have been much better since then, and my OBGYN (who is AMAZING) was willing to treat my HG much more aggressively than my care provider was when I was pregnant with Adalyn. I've only been sick once since Wednesday, and while I still can't eat much, it is a huge improvement.
We are expecting this little one, who has been dubbed "Noodle" from his/her macaroni shaped first ultrasound, around the beginning of October. We weren't going to announce the pregnant so soon, but it is very hard to keep a secret when you are sick during pregnancy. I need all the help I can get some days!

I'm so, so glad you're feeling a smidge better and I'm even happier that your new OB is being more aggressive to keep the HG at bay. Yay squishies!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you, momma! :) So happy for your little family.
